iPad Management Training

This morning I attended a training session on the upcoming iPad Management workshops that the WRDSB is providing as part of the massive iPad Deployment Strategy.   I’m excited to be part of this large initiative and I definitely think our strategy of “it’s not about the apps” is the way to go with mobile devices.  Don’t get me wrong, we will be using apps but we will be working with apps that support learning in alignment with Board priorities, identified learning strategies and good pedagogy.   We are really trying to focus on what the iPad does best:

  • accessing information
  • content creation and innovation
  • communication
  • collaboration

I’m really excited about the possibilities as we go out into the schools to get our message out.

Stay tuned:)
