So, I was very excited to get an email from a Grade 8 Science teacher at Queensmount asking if I could come out and meet with her to discuss some collaborative planning and teaching. I had met previously with her Principal about Teacher-Librarian support and had sent out an email to their school conference outlining the ways that I could support teachers and students in the classroom. It was great because I normally don’t get approached by Science teachers- tends to be more English and History teachers.
We had a great meeting and talked about ways that I (and the LLC) could support what she was trying to do in the class. She was blown-away with the actual resources available in the Virtual Library and was very excited about my coming in to work with the students on evaluating websites and finding the right source when doing research.
