Introverts

Yes, I identify as an introvert, hence the title of this blog.  I don’t think that should come as a surprise to anyone that knows me.  I’m pretty content most of the time but I have to say that it is challenging to live in a world that seems to cater to extroverts.  I know…that’s my perception of things.

A few members of my PLN on Twitter, actively discuss the differences between introverts and extroverts and I have been following the discussion with great interest.  Brian aka @edtechempowers, recently shared the following link:

Top 10 Myths About Introverts

http://jerrybrito.org/post/6114304704/top-ten-myths-about-introverts
This really struck home for me as many of the points he brought up were things that I had struggled with in terms of explaining to people, “why I am the way I am”.  The list itself was compiled from the book, ” The Introverted Advantage:  How to Thrive in an Extroverted World” by Marti Laney.  I haven’t got around to reading this book but it is definitely on my list of books to read.
In any case, it’s now time to finish drinking my tea as I enjoy my quiet time;)
